Thanksgiving madness!

Wow, where to begin! It has been a couple of weeks and a lot has been going on. Last Tuesday I went to Brianna's school for her Thanksgiving feast. She had a wonderful time. After work, we drove to Lubbock. We spent Wednesday and Thursday there for Thanksgiving. We ate a lot and played a lot. Jason's sister and her family were in Dallas. Brianna missed her cousins. We played a lot of spades. I sucked! I don't think I have ever lost so much. Then, on Friday I was up at 5AM. I went with 2 of Jason's cousins to shop. We had a list of stuff from Target. We got there right at six when they opened. Oh yeah, Jason's cousin is about to pop she is so pregnant! We ran through that store, minus a cart because that would take longer, and got everything we wanted. All we did was follow the pregnant belly. I think it parted the crowd! We had a great time. Then, at around nine a.m. we were on the road again.
We were in Monahans by 1230 for lunch with my family. I am good on turkey and dressing for a year! We had a great lunch with my mom, Dave(my soon to be stepdad), his daughter, Jessica and her family, his son's Jeff and Justin and me, Jason and Bri. Where was Jody and his family? In Denton. He had to work. They were all greatly missed. We then played games. Again, I am a loser. If you know me, you know I will just quit if I lose to much! If you have never played monkey bar golf, you should. We also put together wedding invitations and got them in envelopes. It was great fun. We are all excited about the wedding. Saturday we went a watched Dave fly his remote control planes and rockets.Jessica crashed one! After that no one else got to play. Jason has now decided he needs to make planes a new hobbie. Yippie! All he needs is one more hobbie. Back to our weekend. On Sunday morning we left Monahans at around eight and headed home. Man, it is always nice to be home! We really enjoyed the dose of family! I think you need that sometimes. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the wedding!

Ft. Worth Zoo

Jason's mom came for the weekend. On Saturday we decided to go to the Ft. Worth Zoo. On the way, we decided to call Alana and see if she could go. Alana is a 7 yr old girl. She and her family are very special friends of ours. Alana is amazing. I love her so much! We had a lot of fun at the zoo. We saw all the animals, fed birds, touched sea life. Then we ate corn dogs and cheese fries. Alana liked the bats and bugs. Brianna liked it all! We rode the train and ate candy from the candy store. In the petting zoo, a goat tried to eat Alana's jacket. On the way home, we stopped at Sonic and the girls had root beer floats. Over all, it was a great day.
Brianna had a great weekend with her Grandma. She needed some Grandma time. On Friday night after Syd got to town we went to Rosa's. We ordered, got our drinks, and went to find a seat. Brianna dropped her soda. Jason told a guy that worked there but before he could clean it up, yes it happened. A man on a mission to his seat with food slipped! He fell all over the place. Tacos were flying. His legs were everywhere and then, he hit his head on a bench on the way down. I apologized. He was mad. No sense of humor! Why is it funny when someone, besides yourself, falls? Okay, that about raps up our weekend. Oh, my mom moved her wedding date up! NO SHE IS NOT PREGNANT! Just kidding. She will be getting married in December. My new dad got a new job near Monahans. We got Bri and Vannah's dresses today. They are very pretty. So, leave a comment and have a great week!

Brianna and the puppies

Jason went hunting for the weekend. Opening weekend! I had my niece, Savannah, for the weekend. Brianna, Savannah, and I went to lunch and then to the mall to shop! The girls each got new lip gloss. After that we went to see Santa Clause 3. It was really cute. The girls loved it. After the movie we picked up Maci, my friends daughter. The three girls played all night. Bri had a great 1st slumber party!

Well, it is official. The puppies are everywhere. They are 4 weeks old today. I came home from work, went to check on the puppies, and they were not on the back porch. Yes, they hopped over the board and were running all over the backyard. They are so cute! They play and bite at each other. It is so cute. It is going to be hard to sell them.

Pity Party!

Well, one of my nurses is having a baby shower next weekend. She gave me an invitation. I should be excited for her and excited to go. I'm not. I am having a hard time getting over the bitterness of not being able to have anymore children. I know that Brianna is a wonderful blessing that God has given us. I am very grateful that we have our beautiful daughter. I should be completely content with one healthy child. I guess I feel that I am a failure to my husband, myself, and Brianna. Jason for not being able to give him more children, Brianna for not blessing her with a brother or sister, and myself as a woman(I guess). Everyone says, "just adopt". Do you really think that it is that easy? If you do, let me know how. I refuse to adopt from an agency here in the US. I feel like it is such a business now that they are almost "selling" babies. I really like some of the programs that are out there though. It is basically just getting the money($20,000-$30,000). China has a great program. There is also a program here in Texas that is the African american and biracial children program(ABC program). Both are around $20,000. Then Jason and I talk and I think he is perfectly content with one child. She is getting really independent. She dresses herself, feeds herself, bathes her own body(minus the hair), and helps clean her own room. She is great! I on the other hand, would love one more child. Brianna asks, "when will you have a baby in your tummy? When will I have a brother or sister" Then I say, "you won't" UGH! It sucks. So anyway, I guess I am having a bitter day today. Sorry! I know that if it is in our plan, there will be child brought into our lives and us into his or hers.
